All of the above are female pelvic structures, the
difference between pelvises is more than just a male vs
female structure.
As you can see the different shapes of pelvic structure
have very different baseline (saddle-contact) structures.
I call the surface of the pubic and ischial rami
that contact the saddle the pelvic profile, as it is this profile
that
relates most critically to getting the right saddle
fit, at least through the seat of the saddle.
More interesting to me, in terms of the biomechanics
of sitting the trot, is the placement of the hip joint
relative to the most posterior weight bearing surface
of each type's profile. I will be diagramming some
of the issues shortly.
